经两次蒸馏的水。普通一次蒸馏水中还含有二氧化碳和其他杂质,为进一步除去杂质，得到高纯度的水,需要再次进行蒸馏。重蒸馏水的制备方法是首先在减压条件下将不含二氧化碳和氨的空气气流通入待蒸的水中，以除去水中的二氧化碳等挥发性杂质，然后进行两次蒸馏。第一次蒸馏时加入氢氧化钠和高锰酸钾；第二次在加入高锰酸钾的同时加入少量的硫酸氢钾，以氧化分解水中的有机物，并将挥发性物质转变为难挥发物等。通常在制备重蒸馏水时可收集中间的90％左右，弃去初始馏分和在蒸馏瓶中残留部分共约10％，蒸馏用的蒸馏瓶、冷凝器和接收器应用石英或银、铂制品。
