性质:由钛氮化合物组成的薄膜。氮化钛属于间隙化合物,有美丽的金黄色光泽,化学稳定性好,熔点高达3000℃,维氏显微硬度为20GPa左右。由于氮化钛膜的硬度高、红硬性好,并兼有良好的韧性,耐磨性好,能成倍提高刀具的寿命,所以常被涂覆在硬质合金刀具和高速钢刀具上。除耐磨涂层外,氮化钛膜还大量用作表壳、表带和其他日用品的仿金镀层,其耐磨性远超过镀金层和其他仿金合金镀层。此外,氮化钛膜还可用作耐腐蚀镀层、微电子器件的扩散障碍层、光学反射层等。目前在工业生产中硬质合金刀具上的氮化钛镀层仍用化学气相沉积方法生产,而在高速钢刀具上则有离子镀、阴极电弧、磁控溅射等多种工艺方法。
