生产方法：主要采用酯化法。以茨烯和乙酸为原料，在硫酸、活性陶土或离子交换树脂催化剂存在下进行酯化反应，然后经中和、洗涤、干燥、蒸馏而得。也可从加拿大铁杉、白冷杉、赤松等天然原料中，经提取而得。
用途：酯类合成香料。主要用作青香型和馥奇型香精的调合香料，用于配制室内喷雾香精、浴用香精等。
