性质:又称盐霉素,优素精-100。由白色链霉菌(streptomyces albus)产生的一种聚醚类抗生素。熔点112.5~113.5℃。旋光度-63 (c=1cm,乙醇)。其钠盐熔点140~142℃。白色结晶性粉末,易溶于丙酮、三氯甲烷、苯、乙酸乙酯、乙醚和甲醇,但几乎不溶于水,在120℃及日光下仍稳定。可用发酵法获取。具有很强的抗革兰氏阳性菌和抗脆弱艾美尔球虫(Eimeria temella)、毒害艾美尔球虫(E.necatrix)和巨型艾美尔球虫(E·maxima)的作用。主要用作饲料添加剂,在抗生素作用同时,对猪、牛、羊还有肥育的作用,故又有催肥剂之称。
