An Analysis on Strengthening Factors and Mechanical Properties of Q345B Steel Strip Produced by CSP Process;

The surface quality of thin slab of Q345B steel in continuous casting gets improved by reformation in fields of mold,property of casting powder and parameters of cooling water,good effect got.

The inclusion and microstructure in rolled tensile specimen of Q345B steel were studied with optical meta-llograph,SEM,energy dispersive spectrum analysis,original position analysis on the element distribution and so on to explore the cause for laminating in tensile specimen.

In order to reduce production cost, the best production process using niobium microalloy instead of vanadium to produce Q345B plates of different thickness is discussed through analyzing the reason of forming Widmannstaetten structure and the influences of slab thickness, the reduction in pass, low temperature rolling and control cooling etc on the grain size and the properties.
