| 济宁市 位于中国山东省西南部，大运河畔，新兖铁路线上。辖微山县、鱼台县、梁山县、金乡县 、嘉祥县、汶上县 、泗水县7县。面积1.07万平方千米(市区905平方千米)。1992年人口749.77万（市区约90.53 万）。秦设郡县，称任城县。952年属济州。1271年称济宁。1370年改州为县。1948年7月设济宁市 。1958 年济宁县并入 。1965年 济宁县分出。1983年济宁县并入。市境西濒京杭运河 ，古为漕运必经之道，现京杭运河可通汽轮。京沪铁路的兖济支线与新建济菏线在此相接，水陆交通均方便。矿产资源有煤、稀土、铁、铜、铅、石灰石、重晶石、磷等。有纺织、轻工、机械、电子、化工、医药、电力、冶金等33个工业部门。农业生产在全国占有重要地位，农、林、牧、副、渔全面发展，是山东省农副产品重要产地之一，山东省重要的粮食生产基地。土特产有酱菜、菱、藕 、小尾寒羊、山东青山羊、猾子皮等。交通便利。济宁科技 、教育发展迅速，有济宁医学院和济宁师专等高校。名胜古迹有嘉祥武氏祠的汉画像石；微山岛上的微子墓、张良墓；济宁铁塔、声远楼、汉碑群；李白浣笔泉、太白楼、南池；岱南奇观峄山；另有南四湖、古运河、泗水泉林等。 |
