| 闪锌矿 sphalerite 锌的硫化物（ZnS）矿物。含锌67.1％，常含铁（ 超过10％者称铁闪锌矿）及镉、铟、镓、锗、铊等，是提炼锌的主要矿石，也是提炼上述稀有元素的原料。等轴晶系，晶体呈4面体或菱形12面体；集合体成粒状 。无色 ，随含铁量增加，从浅黄至棕色，甚至黑色。树脂光泽到半金属光泽。透明或半透明。莫氏硬度3.5～4.0 ，性脆 ，比重3.9～4.2。具完全的菱形12面体解理，常与方铅矿共生，产于热液矿床中，主要产地与方铅矿相同。
