      四分子乙醛的环状聚合物,分子式(CH3CHO)4。熔点47℃,沸点110℃;不溶于水,溶于乙醇、乙醚、丙酮和苯。四聚乙醛在60~65℃保持数天后,大部分转变成三聚乙醛和乙醛;若在封管中加热,可全部转变成更稳定的三聚乙醛和乙醛。在酸存在下,四聚乙醛则可分解成乙醛。四聚乙醛可由乙醛在低温下与干燥氯化氢作用制得。四聚乙醛燃烧时无烟,可作固体无烟燃料。
