【三通】
(术语)通教之通有三种之别:一因果俱通,三乘同依于体空无生之理(是因通),而断惑证理(是果通)是三乘共学之义。通教之当分也。二因通果非通,是就三乘中之菩萨而分别之,通教之菩萨,有利钝之二种。钝根之菩萨,属于前之第一种,因果俱通也,若利根之菩萨者,七地以前,三乘皆断证,故云因通。七地已后,或为别教所接(此云别接通),或为圆教所接(此云圆接通),各依中道之理而修证,即别圆之人,故谓之果非通。是但就利根之菩萨而立通前通后之义也。此通前通后之义与前三乘通学之义正为通教之教意也。三通别通圆,此为藉通开导。藉通开导者,本为别圆之机,而由一类之人,闻通教当体即空之说而修证,遂为别圆之人,故谓之藉通开导。谓为通教之所说开导而为别圆也。是为本来别圆之机,故与第二被接之人异。故非正为通教之机类,但就闻通教上立此一类。见四念处二。
