轮渡 ferry 在水深不易造桥的江河、海峡等两岸间,用机动船运载旅客和车辆,以连接两岸交通的设施。中国习惯,公路上称渡口,铁路上称轮渡。轮渡运量有限,且运营及维修费用较高。在公路、铁路建设中,当造桥技术或资金不能满足需要时,常采用轮渡。由渡船和渡口设施组成。公路渡口一般在渡船的两端或两侧设置活动跳板,便于汽车上下;其渡口设施包括临水岸壁、泊船码头,供车、人上下渡船的引道、引桥,支承引桥及供渡船碇泊的趸船等,有的还建有候船室、停车场、管理站等建筑物。铁路轮渡要求在渡船上铺设轨道,其渡口设施包括轮渡站、引线、栈桥和停靠设备等建筑物和设备。 |
