The results from probing into some key properties of the geoplymer show that the activating effect using water glass as a activator is not as good as using pure NaOH; the optimum proportion of slag to flyash is 4∶6 and the optimum blending ratio of alkali-activator is 10%;curing temperature of the geoplymer in water ought to be above 30℃; and cation Ca2+ plays an important ro.

The results showed that the water glass alkali activator had best effect to reinforce the compressive strength of geopolymeric cement.
