【萤石】(fluorite,fluorspar)又名“氟石”。化学成分`CaF_2`。等轴晶系。晶体呈立方体或八面体,较少呈菱形十二面体。集合体成块状或粒状。硬度4。比重3.18。玻璃光泽,通常呈黄、绿、紫等色,条痕白争。透明,性脆,解理平行,八面体完全。受紫外线照射发显著荧光。主要为热液成因,成萤石脉产出。是制取氟、氢氟酸及其他氟化物的原料。炼钢工业中用作助熔剂,搪瓷工业中用以制瓷釉,无色透明的晶体用作光学材料。
