      用桑蚕丝织成的纺绸(见桑蚕茧)。20世纪初,因电动丝织机取代了脚踏织机而得名。具有织纹缜密、质地坚韧、轻薄等特点,适宜制做夏季服装,如衬衫、裙料等,也可用于高级服装的里料和绸伞的面料。在工业上薄型电力纺可制作绝缘材料或打字带用绸。电力纺的规格很多,主要区别在于织物的单位重量,轻的仅17.5克/米2,一般在36克/米2~70克/米2左右,经、纬丝均用20/22旦桑蚕丝,单根或数根并合。织物需经精练、染色或印花整理。杭纺是一种重型的电力纺,重约109克/米2左右,经纬均采用3根50/70旦桑蚕丝织制。
