   一种生物碱。分子式C10H15NO。存在于多种麻黄属植物中,中草药麻黄的主要成分。无色挥发性液体。可以水蒸气蒸馏。熔点40℃(DL型的熔点79℃),沸点225℃,比旋光度!!!M0004_2-6.3° (乙醇)。溶于水和多种有机溶剂。有吸湿性,在水中得水合物结晶。可与各种无机酸 ( 如盐酸、硫酸)和有机酸 (如草酸)生成盐 ,其盐酸盐的熔点 218℃,!!!M0004_3+35.8°(水,C=11.5)。麻黄碱与锇离子反应呈黄色,可作为锇的检测试剂。
    麻黄碱可用于支气管哮喘、百日咳、枯草热及其他过敏性疾病,还能对抗脊椎麻醉引起的血压降低、扩大瞳孔,也用于重症肌无力、痛经等疾患,还可作中枢神经系统兴奋剂。
