种子萌发 seed germination 种子的胚从相对静止状态变为生理活跃状态,并长成营自养生活的幼苗的过程。生产上多以幼苗出土为止。 种子从吸胀开始的一系列有序的生理过程和形态发生过程,大致可分5个阶段:即吸胀、水合与酶的活化、细胞分裂和增大、胚突破种皮和长成幼苗。有的种子的下胚轴不伸长,子叶留在土中,只由上胚轴和胚芽长出土面生成幼苗,这类幼苗称为子叶留土幼苗,如豌豆;有些植物种子萌发时下胚轴伸长,把子叶顶出土面,形成子叶出土幼苗,如棉花。 种子萌发的外界条件有:①水。种子必须吸收足够的水分才能启动一系列酶的活动,开始萌发。②温度。各类种子的萌发一般都有最低、最适和最高3个基点温度。温带植物种子萌发,要求的温度范围比热带的低。③氧。种子吸水后呼吸作用增强,需氧量加大。一般作物种子要求其周围空气中含氧量在10%以上才能正常萌发。④光。有少数植物如黄榕、烟草和莴苣的种子在无光条件下不能萌发。这类种子叫需光种子。有些植物如早熟禾、月见草等的种子在有光条件下萌发得好些。还有一些百合科植物和洋葱、番茄、曼陀罗的种子萌发则为光所抑制,这类种子称为嫌光种子。 |
