形态特征:木通科木通属落叶藤本植物。老枝红褐色,密生小皮孔。掌状复叶,小叶(5-)7枚,椭圆形或椭圆状倒卵形,全缘,长4.5-6厘米,宽2.5-2.8厘米,顶端凹,有突尖,基部圆形,叶背面带白色, 总叶柄长5-7厘米,小叶柄长10-15毫米。5月开花,花深紫色,有香气。果实长6-7厘米,熟时紫红色,带白粉。
生境分布: 生于海拔490-1000米的山坡灌丛或沟谷林中。分布于四川、江苏、浙江、陕西等省。朝鲜也有。
用途:茎藤和采实供药用,有泻火、刘尿、下乳、通淋的功效。茎藤主治孕妇浮肿和肾脏病。果实泡酒或煎服,可治腰痛。树皮能通乳。
