Research on security system of food packaging materials

Safety and hygienic of food packaging materials have become an important aspect of food safety.

Food packaging materials can protect food from contamination from the outside world,on the other hand,the chemical compositions of packaging materials themselves can penetrate into foods,if the penetrating magnitude is more than a certain threshold,they will affect the safety of food.

In order to improvement of the China's present control of hygiene safety in the food packaging materials and promote the foreign trade, the management system of the European Union for food packaging materials was interpreted, espercially introducing the directives, regulations and three tiered structme system, which related to plastic materials and articles in contact with foods.

The existing safety problems of some common food packaging materials(such as plastic, rubber, paper, glass, metal, porcelain enamel and pottery)were introduced, and several preventive and control measures were also put forward in this paper.

The existing problems of food flexible packaging material were analyzed and the safety standards of flexible packaging materials were summarized.

This article reviewed the residue analytical methods of bisphenol A and its epoxy derivatives in food and packing materials, and look forward to the control of them in food in the future.
