The general situation of hydraulic AGC techniques for copper cold rolling mills is introduced, the direct measurement and closed loop control for mill gap are simply described, the natural rigidity of mill and the equivalent rigidity in gap control are analysed and compared, and at last the realization of a gap direct measurement AGC system is simply described as an example.

This paper mainly describes composition of six-high finishing rolling mill in the rolling thin-copper strip,the two different main-drive ways of work-roll drive and middle-roll drive,analyzing-comparing the two main-drive ways.
