The paper introduces the working process and electricity saving characteristics of steel making,and puts forward the operation and application of AC frequency modulation for speed regulation used in dedusting fan of converter.

After the dedusting fan is taken on the technology of preventing wear,the service life of centrifugal impeller can be up to above two years.

3 Steelmaking plant of Jinan steel used domestic technology of high voltage and large power frequency transformer to adjust speed in dusting fan serving for LF refining furnace.
