又称"心因性精神病"。因精神刺激而导致脑功能失调的一类疾病。精神症状常在精神创伤之后发生，其内容与所受刺激密切相关，一旦消除精神因素后病情亦随即好转。常见于女性，一般起病急骤，亦有在长期感情矛盾影响下逐渐形成。临床常见为较强烈而不能耐受的刺激，或在患者生活中具有严重意义的事件，如威胁生命安全的各种灾祸和意外事故等。发病与否，除取决于精神因素的强度和性质外，与感情矛盾的程度，社会教育、道德观念、兴趣爱好，特殊经历以及形成的敏感点有关。病前个性特征，脾气性格，如性情急躁，胆小，敏感多疑，胸襟狭窄等因素，在发病上亦有重要意义。治疗应以心理治疗为主，适当辅以药物治疗。
