| 墨脱地震 1950年8月15日在中国西藏自治区的东南部同印度、缅甸毗邻的察隅 、墨脱地区，发生的一次巨大地震，震级为8.6。震中烈度为ⅩⅡ度。震中地区在震后交通断绝。墨脱县城位于ⅩⅠ度区内，察隅县城位于ⅤⅢ度区内。极震区内房屋全部倒平，山川移易，地形改变，多处山峰崩塌堵塞雅鲁藏布江，山体滑坡将5处村落推入江中。此震与1897年印度阿萨姆大地震相距500余千米。历史地震的统计表明，中国西南边界一带强震发生具有50年左右的重复期。 |
