| 桐油 tung oil 大戟科油桐属种子经压榨或用溶剂浸出制得的干性油。传统上用于涂刷农具、渔具、家具及调制油泥嵌补船缝、门窗玻璃等。近代主要用作油漆、油墨和医药等工业的原料。古代用木楔榨油，现在用液压榨油机或螺旋榨油机机械榨油。桐油质量因树种、产区和加工方法、贮存时间而异。淡黄色的粘稠液体油，称白桐油；暗黑或暗红色的称黑桐油或红桐油。这两种油统称生桐油，其干燥性能差，不宜直接用作涂料。生桐油加入催干剂如铝等氧化物熬制成熟桐油后才能成为优良涂料。桐油的组成随树种而异，主要成分三a-桐酸甘油酯，a-桐酸是含有3个共轭双键的十八碳脂肪酸。桐油具有干燥快、比重小、光泽度高、附着力强、耐酸耐碱、防腐防锈以及绝缘性好等优良特性。桐油有毒 ，其毒素是a-桐酸和微溶于油中的皂苷，熬熟桐油逸出的气体会引起某些接触者的急性皮炎。桐子榨油后的麸饼也含有皂苷。皂苷在油中的溶解度小，因此麸饼比桐油的毒性更大，可作肥料使用，兼有杀虫效果。 |
