又称夫霉醌。为从烟曲菌的培养液中分离得到的一种抗生素，分子式C8H8O4。它对金黄葡萄球菌、霍乱弧菌有较强的抗菌活性。
烟曲霉醌属于对苯醌(见苯醌)类色素。为红褐色针状结晶；熔点116°C；能用水蒸气蒸馏;在真空中可升华；微溶于水，石油醚，易溶于?⒁颐选⒙确隆⒈揭宜嵋阴ァ⒁掖肌Ｈ苡谇庋趸迫芤撼首虾焐肴然既芤悍从ο园底虾焐Ｋ妆谎橇蛩崆饽苹乖上嘤Φ难糖骨怩笳弑蝗然趸纯傻玫皆吹孽?
在烟曲菌培养液中尚可分离到烟曲霉氢醌、烟曲霉醌环氧化物、3－羟基烟曲霉醌等成分。
烟曲霉氢醌的熔点为107.5～109°C。烟曲霉醌环氧化物为浅橙色针晶，熔点为73～74°C，比旋光度+28.5°(1.3克/100毫升乙醇)。在酸性溶液中稳定，在碱性溶液中尤其pH＞12.0时极不稳定，如用2摩尔/升NaOH溶液于室温下处理2分钟，即转变为3－羟基烟曲霉醌，后者为深紫色片状结晶，熔点201°C。
