性质:防止黑色金属锈蚀,使用最广泛的镀种。其特点是成本低,加工方便,效果良好。由于锌的标准电极电位较负,所以锌镀层对很多金属材料均为阳极性镀层,可起电化学保护作用。在大气条件和其他良好环境中使用的钢铁零件,普遍采用镀锌。但镀锌层不宜作摩擦零件的镀层,镀锌层在铬酸溶液中钝化后,表面生成一层光亮而美观的彩色钝化膜,其防护性能比原来提高许多倍。由于这种特性,镀锌层在机械、电子、仪表和轻工等工业部门得到广泛应用。我国目前使用的镀锌工艺中,氰化物镀锌、酸性镀锌、锌酸盐镀锌三种方法应用最广。
