氧化镁 magnesium oxide 化学式MgO,白色粉末。俗称苦土,古时称镁氧。熔点2852℃,沸点3600℃,密度3.58克/厘米3(25℃),不溶于水和碱溶液,是一种碱性氧化物,可溶于水。在高温下灼烧金属镁,可得氧化镁: 氢氧化镁或碳酸镁加热分解,也可制得氧化镁: 市售氧化镁有轻质和重质两种,前者是在650℃煅烧而成,后者的煅烧温度为1650℃。重质氧化镁的热稳定性和惰性较高。氧化镁主要用作高温耐火材料,如制造镁砖、坩埚、金属陶瓷,也可用作橡胶和纸的填料。 |
