A dimercaptothiadiazole dimer containing ester groups was synthesized,and its tribological performance as the antiwear additive of 12-hydroxystearate lithium grease was evaluated on a four-ball tester and the friction surface of the steel ball after test was also investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),scanning electron microscope(SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscope(EDS).

【硬脂】(stearin)亦称“三硬脂酸甘油酯”。化学式`C_3H_5(OCOC_17H_35)_3`，分子量891.50。存在于许多动植物脂肪中。白色无臭粉末。密度0.943（65℃）。熔点71-72℃。不溶于水、乙醚、石油醚，溶于热醇、苯、氯仿和二硫化碳等溶剂中。通常由脂肪中分离而得。用以制造硬脂酸、肥皂、化妆品、上浆剂等，也用于制造人造象牙、抛光剂、纺织品处理剂、皮革的上光剂等。
