性质:材料在应力或环境(或两者同时)作用下产生的裂隙。分微观裂纹和宏观裂纹。裂纹形成的过程称为裂纹形核。已经形成的微观裂纹和宏观裂纹在应力或环境(或两者同时)作用下,不断长大的过程,称为裂纹扩展或裂纹增长。裂纹扩展到一定程度,即造成材料的断裂。裂纹可分为:交变载荷下的疲劳裂纹;应力和温度联合作用下的蠕变裂纹;惰性介质中加载过程产生的裂纹;应力和化学介质联合作用下的应力腐蚀裂纹;氢进入后引起的氢致裂纹。每一类裂纹的形成过程及机理都不尽相同。裂纹的出现和扩展,使材料的机械性能明显变差。抗裂纹性是材料抵抗裂纹产生及扩展的能力,是材料的重要性能指标之一。
