Under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, more than 37 Chinese cultural centers have been built in countries around the world as of the end of 2018, playing an active role in promoting exchanges and cooperation between China and the rest of the world. Among them, 17 are located in countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
Diversified cultural activities
These centers provide a wide array of activities including events, shows, concerts and performances, serving as a window to showcase 5,000 years of Chinese civilization and its creative inheritance and innovation in the new era.
Lectures and trainings promote understandings
Lectures and trainings are important platforms for scholars, experts and students getting together to exchange ideas at venues of Chinese cultural centers worldwide, which is also essential to promote understandings among different peoples and cultures.
Topics range from Chinese customs, philosophy and literature to cuisine and medicine.
Meeting of minds and creative ideas
China Cultural Centers also host sessions to promote cooperation between China and countries around the world in areas including media cooperation, cultural products, trade and so on.
