Alibaba chairman Jack Ma has claimed the title of China's richest man, followed by Tencent chairman and CEO Pony Ma and Evergrande chairman Hui Ka Yan and his wife Ding Yumei, according to a list released by Chinese news outlet Jiemian on Feb 28.
The list of the 1,000 wealthiest Chinese in 2019, released for a second straight year, found the total wealth of the top 1,000 richest Chinese and their families reached 1.1 trillion yuan.
287 titans have a wealth of at least 10 billion yuan, and their combined wealth accounts for 69.01 percent of the total wealth on the list.
