"When Africa Meets You" tells the story of an uptown Chinese girl who falls in love with the African continent and devotes her life to the anti-poaching drive after being entangled in a string of events dealing with poachers and diamond robbers in Africa.

It aims to raise awareness of the need for protecting wild animals in Africa.

Zhao Baogang, Councilor at the Chinese Embassy to Zimbabwe, said at the premiere that China has been working with Zimbabwe in wildlife protection for a long time.

"China and Zimbabwe have a lot of cooperation in wildlife protection. Several years ago, we provided millions of US dollars' worth of equipment to the national parks. We also have many Chinese volunteers working in the Zimbabwean national parks such as Mana Pools, who have done a great job in protecting wildlife."
