Filming of a movie based on the biography of Li Na, a tennis legend, has just been completed in Melbourne.
Work on the film, also called Li Na, which is directed by Peter Chan Ho-San from Hong Kong,began four years ago.
Meanwhile, four posters about the film have been released, revealing four turning points in Li’s life.
The posters relate to 1989 when she stopped practicing badminton and switched to tennis;1998,when she said “I dream to be in the top 10 professional tennis player around the globe”; 2014, when she became the first Asian player to win two Grand Slam singles titles, and she was ranked NO.2 by the Women’s Tennis Association; and 2019, when she became the first Asian player to be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
