Pupils(学生 xuéshēng) from Zhaobao primary school in Jiaozuo, central China's Henan Province are practicing(练习 liànxí) Taichi(太极 tàijí), one of China's traditional(传统 chuántǒng) martial arts(武术 wǔshù). Local schools invite professional(专业 zhuānyè) coaches(教练 jiàoliàn) to be instructors for the students, with aims at strengthening(增强 zēngqiáng) students' physique(体质 tǐzhí) and promoting Chinese traditional culture. Tai chi is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for both its defense(防御 fángyù) training and its health(健康 jiànkāng) benefits.
