Guizhou has most World Heritage Sites in China
2019-01-10

Known for its beautiful natural environment, Guizhou contains a total of four World Heritage Sites, including Libo Karst, Chishui Danxia, Shibing Karst and Fanjing Mountain. This is more than any other province in China.

Libo Karst in Guizhou's Libo county, Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, is a perfect example of typical South China Karst, a type of land formation that extends through Chongqing, Guangxi, Guizhou and Yunnan.

Libo Karst contains the world's largest Karst old-growth forest which showcases the area's geomorphological evolution. The unique ecosystem and Karst landscapes of Libo made it Guizhou's first World Heritage Site in 2007.
