Apple has decided to remove Kris Wu's debut album, Antares, from the iTunes Store Charts after the singer beat Ariana Grande on the top of the charts, as he was suspected of artificially boosting his sales numbers.

With accusations flying around, Kris's album and all of its songs are no longer available on the iTunes music store, leaving Ariana Grande and Queen at #1 on the song and album charts respectively.

Wu had seven songs in the Top 10 of the US iTunes store as of November 5th. His "November Rain" was purchased 14 million times in 24 hours.

On November 6, all seven of the songs had disappeared from the charts, sparking controversy on social media with fans expressing their disappointment and anger.

"Haters gonna hate, what's wrong with fans purchasing big to support their idol? The sales results are authentic. They can afford it," a Beijing-based k-pop fan girl surnamed Chen said.

To make matters worse, Scooter Braun, Ariana Grande's manager, reportedly questioned the authenticity of Wu's popularity with a tweet saying "he is using bots… they will handle it and we are not worried. It's unfortunate but you can't stop Ari," according to a screenshot circulated online.

As a result, Kris's fans are outraged as they believe him innocent of manipulating the iTunes chart, and that iTunes underestimated the number of Chinese fans he has.

Tuesday marks Kris's 28th birthday. He has 158,000 followers on Twitter and 44.7 million followers on Sina Weibo.

The sales numbers also coincide with fans behavior of multiple purchases of his new album as a way to support him and to give him the best birthday gift by putting him on the top of the charts.
