BEIJING, Sept. 15 (Xinhuanet) -- Reaction from major western powers to the agreement reached in Geneva has been positive. Still, US President Barack Obama vows that Syria will be held to account if it fails to live up to its promises to surrender chemical weapons.

French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius says talks with his US and British counterparts scheduled on Monday in Paris will focus on implementation. British Foreign Secretary William Hague says there must be full and prompt implementation of it.
