BEIJING, May 27 (Xinhuanet) -- US President has assured residents of areas of Oklahoma devastated by last week’s tornado, that the federal government will provide long-term help in its reconstruction.

Obama toured the town of Moore, Oklahoma where 24 people were killed as the devastating tornado left a trail of destruction. His first stop was Plaza Towers Elementary School, where seven children died and several students and teachers were injured. He assured people that the rest of the country would provide help to rebuild the city.
