BEIJING/BAODING, Hebei - Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday visited the areas affected by floods this summer in Beijing and Hebei province.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, called for continuous efforts in post-flood reconstruction to ensure that local people could lead comfortable lives and spend a warm winter.
