Top 5 tablet makers in China in Q2 by shipments
2021-10-19

Market research provider Canalys showed that in the second quarter, Apple saw its share in the tablet market fall from 45 percent in 2020 to 31 percent, partly due to the pandemic impact in China, but also due to the resurgence of vendors, such as Samsung and Lenovo, which have capitalized on renewed demand for tablets in the consumer space.

Samsung and Lenovo both enjoyed strong annual growth, of 78 percent and 299 percent, respectively, in Q2 2021. Disrupted by multiple sanctions and the Honor spin-off, Huawei's shipments fell by more than 60 percent to just over one million. Honor, meanwhile, shipped 600,000 million units, benefiting greatly from its expansion in offline distribution this year after its spin-off.

Let's take a look at the top five tablet makers by shipment in Q2.
