BEIJING -- Through unremitting efforts of the Chinese government, Ms. Meng Wanzhou has already left Canada, on September 24 local time, on a charter flight organized by the Chinese government. She will soon return to her home country and reunite with her family.
Meng reached a deal with the US Justice Department on Friday that allows her to return to China, under which the senior executive of the Chinese company has not pleaded guilty, according to media reports.
It marks the end of Meng's nearly three-year detention in Canada,
Meng Wanzhou was arrested by Canadian authorities at the request of the US in December 2018.
