French luxury brand Hermès unveiled its Spring/Summer 2021 collection on the fourth floor of Hermès Maison in Shanghai on Jan 21.
Reflecting the brand's chosen theme for 2021 – "A Human Odyssey" — the spring-summer collection is not only a look back at the house's heritage but also an exploration of life in the future.
In keeping with its tradition of supporting young artists from around the world, Hermès teamed up with collage artist Fenna Fiction to create the exhibition space for this collection, masterfully embedding the house's interpretation of a new season of lifestyle aesthetics into the Dutch artist's colorful pieces.
The new collection included the Cheval de fête scarf 90, which has cockades, ribbons, and geometric patterns, Hermès Perspective Cavalière bag, which features a unique design with clean and simple curves inspired by saddle flaps, and the jewelry and watches area features an Hermès Bijouterie reimagining of the Birkin bag, in which the iconic bag is transformed into the focal point of a long necklace.
Throughout its century-long history, Hermès has remained a model of craftsmanship, establishing a French lifestyle aesthetic for like-minded individuals to join.
