2020-11-16

Sending children to school, having dinner with family and helping children with homework… these ordinary things which most people take for granted used to be the dreams of Shi Hongping.

In the past, due to lack of local employment opportunities, she and her husband had to leave their hometown at Shilan town in Hunan province to make a living. Their children were left behind with her in-laws and the family lived apart for a long time.

Thanks to local poverty relief efforts, Shi was hired to work at a traditional embroidery workshop near home, which not only brought her decent income but also helped reunify her family. What is the secret behind the project's success? Watch this video to find out.
