Shenzhen celebrated its 40th anniversary as a special economic zone on Wednesday, which also marked the ninth anniversary of the founding of the city's Dapeng district. . 

Dapeng boasts a beautiful setting of mountains and sea. To commemorate the city's contribution to the implementation of reform and opening-up policies in the country, dozens of speedboats and motor boats in Dapeng formed a special message on the sea. The boats created the letters I, S and Z on the water with Aixin Island, a heart-shaped islet off the coast, between the first two letters, meaning I love Shenzhen.
