Geng Jie, 33, faced an ambitious challenge Thursday in Central China's Hunan province: To race his motorcycle up the 999 stone steps at the Tianmenshan scenic area. He reached his goal in 56 seconds.
Geng began to practice the technique in 2004, and won the national championship for four consecutive years.
